Each pair of Black Berkey® Elements can treat up to 6,000 gallons (or about 5 years of typical use) before replacement is recommended.
In independent laboratory testing, these filtration elements have also been shown to reduce red food coloring — a commonly used indicator for certain types of chemical filtration.
