The OR-38 O-Ring is a lubricated rubber gasket for many brands of undersink and whole house water filtration housings. The OR-38 o-ring can be used with 3/8-inch inlet/outlet housings with a 3.5-inch diameter housing sump. The OR-38 O-Ring has been branded under Ace Hardware, American Plumber, Ametek, Culligan, Pentek, and USFilter Plymouth Products. The American Plumber model number for the OR-38 is the W38-OR. The OR-38 can be used with many water filter housings including Ace Hardware, American Plumber, Ametek, Culligan, MasterPlumber, Pentek, and USFilter Plymouth Products. The OR-38 o-ring should be replaced every two filter changes or if there is damage to the o-ring. The Pentek OR-38 o-ring gasket should be well lubricated with silicone lubricant to prevent leaks in the water filtration system.
